Phillip Law B.A. (Hons) (Lond), PgDL
Phil joined the firm as an outdoor clerk/paralegal in December 2001, shortly after being called to the Bar (Grays). He was admitted as a solicitor in March 2008.
Experience:
Phil became a duty solicitor in May 2009. He is currently a solicitor in the criminal department. He is a confident advocate in both the Magistrates and Crown Courts. He does the vast majority of his own advocacy.
Areas of Expertise:
Phil has eight years of experience in the firm and in criminal litigation in the Magistrates and Crown Courts. He has defended cases at all levels including money laundering, fraud, sexual offences, violent offences, drug supply, murder and associated homicide offences. In 2009, he has been instructed in three murder cases and two homicides. The majority of his work is publicly funded. However, Phillip has a growing private practice. In addition to criminal litigation, Phil has also been instructed in a number of cash forfeiture proceedings, police complaints and prison law cases.
