Funding Your Case

Our private rates are competitive and we may be able to work on a fixed fee basis.  Our lawyers will be able to discuss the funding arrangements with you and will be pleased to answer any queries that you may have.

In personal injury and clinical negligence cases we may be able to act on a “no win, no fee basis”.  Again our lawyers will be pleased to discuss this with you.

We hold the Quality Mark with the Legal Services Commission, which means we are regularly assessed and audited against Quality standards.

Edwards Duthie holds a Legal Services Commission specialist contract for all the specialist available areas, the only firm in the country to do so.

If you receive Income Support, income based Job Seekers Allowance, Employment & Support Allowance or Guaranteed Pension Credit, you should be eligible for legal aid.  If you are not receiving any of these benefits but have a low income, you may be eligible.

If you would like to know whether you qualify for legal aid, you can either telephone us or consult the Eligibility Calculator on the website of the Legal Services Commission.  If you recover or preserve money or property, you may be required to repay your fees to the Legal Services Commission.

Initial advice and assistance is provided under the Community Legal Service Legal Help Scheme.  When a case progresses to court (whether you are bringing the claim or defending the claim), a Funding Certificate may be available.

Where payment is required our accounts department is able to accept debit/credit card payments.
